Mark + Kay Connelly

Mark Connelly is the senior pastor of Mission Community Church in Gilbert, Arizona. Mark received his Masters degree from Capital Bible Seminary and another Masters degree from Chesapeake Theological Seminary. After seminary, Mark and Kay moved to Iowa and pastored Harmony Bible Church.

After seven years in Iowa, Mark and Kay moved to the Phoenix area, where Mark is a leader in church-based justice ministries (Vision Abolition, Vision Africa, and Vision Arizona).

Mark and Kay met at the University of Maryland while playing ultimate Frisbee and married in 1984. They have two grown children, Luke and Naomi. Kay is a flight attendant and the resident sports fanatic in the Connelly house. On a typical day, you can find Kay watching Sports Center and Mark throwing weights around at the local gym.

Ted + Amy Cunningham

Ted Cunningham is the founding pastor of Woodland Hills Family Church in Branson, Missouri. A speaker with the Smalley Relationship Center, Ted has co-authored three books with Dr. Gary Smalley: The Language of Sex, From Anger to Intimacy, and As Long As We Both Shall Love. He has been a guest on Focus on the Family, Life Today and Moody Radio.

Ted met his wife Amy on a blind date at Liberty University and decided he would marry her that night. Although he didn’t ask her right then and there, she said "yes" to his proposal a year later. Now married for thirteen years, they both love taking road trips and boating on Table Rock Lake with their two kids, Corynn (6) and Carson (4).

Ted is a graduate of Liberty University and Dallas Theological Seminary. He is a bandwagon Chicago Cubs fan, although he won’t admit that again until they are in the playoffs.

Gary + Norma Smalley

Gary Smalley is a pastor at heart. He serves as an elder at Woodland Hills Family Church in Branson, Missouri, and serves married couples through the Smalley Relationship Center.

Gary is a bestselling author whose books have sold over seven million copies. He is the author of more than 50 books, which include The Blessing, The Two Sides of Love, and The DNA of Relationships. Gary has been a guest on numerous national TV shows, including The Oprah Winfrey Show, Larry King Live, and NBC's The Today Show.

Gary and Norma will celebrated 45 years of marriage in 2009. They have three adult children, and ten grandchildren (and are still counting!). They call Branson home.

Toben + Joanne Heim

Toben Heim married his wife Joanne in 1991 and graduated from Whitworth College in 1993. Shortly after graduation, the Heims moved to Paris for a few months where Joanne worked for a French software company and Toben bummed around the City of Lights.

Upon returning to the U.S., Toben began his professional career as a sales representative for NavPress Publishing Group. During the next ten years Toben worked in publishing, ranging from sales to marketing to publisher for The Message Bible.

Toben and Joanne are both authors. Together, they wrote Happily Ever After: A Real Life Look at Your First Year of Marriage. Joanne is the author of Living Simply and Misplacing God. Toben also co-authored Wrecked with his close friend, Ryan Dobson, and his Check Mate will be published in 2010.

Toben is currently the marriage coordinator at Mission Community Church in Gilbert, Arizona. He and his wife are active bloggers and you can read about them at Our Crazy Marriage and The Simple Wife. Toben and Joanne have two great girls, Audrey (11) and Emma (9). Despite moving to Arizona in the middle of July, they love it!

C.J. + Renee Bergmen

Renee Bergmen Photography is the visual specialist for twoignite. Renee believes moments in life should be captured with beautiful, artistic photography. Her work as a photographer is about just that--finding the art in the everyday moments, the beauty that radiates from each person, and the magnificence that is found in special times in our lives.

Her husband C.J. Bergmen is both the worship pastor of Mission Community Church and a singer/songwriter. He uses music as a means to articulate the truth about what he sees and experiences around him.

CJ and Renee’ met while studying theology at Grand Canyon University. They dated and married one year later in 2003. Now married six years, Renee’ and CJ love hanging out with life-giving friends to laugh hard, play hard, and cry hard. C.J. and Renee’ are also passionate about their Labrador Retriever, Bailey, and treat him like a human being. They adopted their son Keane in 2009.

Steve + Barbara Uhlmann

“Social entrepreneurs, community changers, and marriage innovators,” these are some of the phrases used by others to describe the couple who created the catalyst behind twoignite.

Steve and Barbara Uhlmann’s passion is to encourage individuals to become life-long learners, growing in their relationship with Christ, their spouse, and family. Steve and Barb have been extremely involved in the movement of strengthening marriages, not only as mentors, but active participants who learn alongside those who share their passion.

Celebrating 43 years of marraige this year, they’re the proud parents of two adult daughters, Pam and Tracy. They’re also actively involved with their six grandchildren and can often be found on the beach in Maui, exercising in Scottsdale, or encouraging others to live the adventure of marriage!

Mark + Marilyn Smock

Marilyn is the official "bean counter" for twoignite. Previously, she served as a financial analyst for Steve Uhlmann during his years as an entrepreneur in the world of plastics. Mark owns his company, Business Buyer Directory. He refers to it as a "dating service" for business buyers and sellers.

They are both from the Midwest, but have lived their adult lives in Boulder, CO, Seattle, WA, Cleveland, OH, and now Scottsdale, AZ. Their 25 blissful (ok, if you catch them on a good day) years of marriage have been enriched by the new friends, local interests, and distinct environs each city has offered. They have two grown sons; one single living in Austin, TX, the other married, with two delightful granddaughters, living in Maui, HI.

Dr. Ken + Rosanne Burck

Rosanne is the resident task master and guru of project management. Rosanne currently serves as the giving officer for the Uhlmann Family Offices and project liaison for twoignite. Previously, Rosanne worked as an executive assistant for both the Tech Group and Scottsdale Bible Church.

Ken and Rosanne are originally from the Pacific Northwest and just celebrated their 40th year of marriage. They have two adult children and two grandsons. When Rosanne isn’t "herding the cats" at the office, you can find her shopping, reading, or begging her husband, who is a chiropractor, for an adjustment.

Gabe + Farrah Cooper

Gabe Cooper is a principal at Brushfire Mobile and Shotzoom Software in Tempe, Arizona. Brushfire Mobile is the creative force behind twoignite.com and tripfire.com. Gabe received his MIS degree from the University of Arizona in ‘98 (GO CATS!) and his MBA from Arizona State University in ‘02. Before joining Perk, Gabe worked as a software architect and manager for several local companies including Intel and the Alliance Defense Fund.

Gabe and Farrah were introduced their senior year of high school, dated for 6 years, and were married in 1998. They now live in Chandler, Arizona with their 4 boys (Jonah-7, Micah-5, Caleb-3, and Noah-1). When they’re not busy parenting, you’ll likely find Gabe with his nose in a book and Farrah dancing around the house to her newest indie rock mp3 download.
